Every Heart Beats True
Summer is in full swing and that means that patriotic parades and picnics are on the horizon. Cindy Royal joins us today with a fun dessert idea to make for your patriotic celebration. Here is what she had to say about her project.

While looking around the internet the other day I saw these cute deserts for Independence Day with waffle cone bowls, cheesecake filling and berries. Perfect presentation for celebrating the 4th of July. I decided to recreate them and Cricutize the presentation just a little. I added cupcake wrappers around the waffle cone bowls and dressed up the spoons.
The images for the spoons are cut and assembled with a little gold embossing powder embellishment. I thought embossing powder would be a better choice than glitter, being the spoons were in food and glitter could possibly shed onto the food.
After creating all my ‘spoon toppers’ I turned them over and added pin backs and alligator clips. You could use hair clips and barrettes just as easily. I thought why have them tossed in the trash with the spoons, when one could just slip them off the spoon and wear them? The clips and pins make it easy to put them on the spoon and remove again before using it.
