Halloween Candy Dish
Your little ghosts and goblins will love getting their treats out of this cleverly decorated candy dish, plus you will have a festive centerpiece for the Halloween holiday as well!
I’ve had my eye on this apothecary candy dish for quite some time just waiting for the opportunity to create something special. Halloween is the perfect occasion, don’t you think?
When I alter items I love having lots of texture and dimension. You will see how I used beaded fringe, glitter, foam squares, wiggle eyes and thread to create lots of variation in my design. It is the wonderful die cuts along with the extra items that will take your project from plain to professional in minutes!

The cartridges I used in today’s project are Mini Monsters along with Heritage Cartridge. There are so many fun cuts on Mini Monsters that you can use throughout the year. My favorite cut on this cartridge is the witch so I decided to use her in this design. I started with that single cut and then built around it using the sucker and the other two candy pieces which I drenched in yummy colors of glitter.

I wanted to carry the design down on to the large glass bulging section so I created a web and used some embroidery floss to attach the cute little spider die cut to the web.

There are so many possibilities for cuts that you can use to create your own candy dish. I hope I have inspired you to get out your Cricut and cartridges and create a little Halloween magic for your house!

Trend: Bicycles
Icons with a vintage charm seem to be popping up everywhere lately . . . and bicycles are one of them! Whenever we see bicycles we think of leisurely rides down a country lane. It’s a little bit of a nod to simpler days when life was a bit slower, and people weren’t so anxious to rush around with their To Do lists. Cindy Royal shows us that it is as “easy as riding a bike” to add bicycles to our papercrafting, particularly cards. Check out her three samples showcasing three different types of bikes below!

Birds of a Feather
Hello! Kristen here with a fun decor project for you to make with your Cricut Expression. I used birds from Heritage and Picturesque cartridges and double cut out each bird. I then sewed the birds together to create a 3d bird that I stuffed with fiberfill and decorated. The little feet on the birds help them stand up, and can be found in any home office, they are simply bent paper clips that I inserted into the leg space of the birds. I had first cut off the bird feet so that I could eventually insert the wire of the clip into that space. Decorating these birds was fun, use lace, glitter, gems, ribbon and more to add details. I think they are lovely for any space.
