Father’s Day K-Cup Container
Welcome back to the Cricut Blog! Shantaie Fowler here. Today I have a fun little Father’s day gift idea for you. I love finding new ways to use Cricut cuts, and this box is used in a totally different way than it was originally designed- you are going to love how easy this is to assemble!
To make a single box cut the box and layers, embellish and fill with two K cups, to create a double box you will flip the cut and assemble it. Once finished adhere the two units back to back this will hold 4 K cups! The trick to transforming this business card holder box into a K cup holder is in the scoring, and the box is turned on its side. The score lines should be followed as pictured below, {don’t worry it’s very easy}
Assemble container using Terrifically Tacky Tape. I used a corner rounder at the top of the box as well as on the patterned paper layer; I also trimmed ¼” off each side of the patterned paper and inked the edges. The front of the container has a stipe of paper that is cut at 1 ¼” x 4” and the sides are cut at 1 ¼” x 2 5/8” this is the base recipe for the container, from here you can embellish in endless ways!
To create the word “Dad” cut three 1” squares of cardstock and emboss in the Cuttlebug Machine with the All-in-One Folder using the Monogram Serif All-in-One set and sand lightly over the raised area. Ink edges of coffee cup and adhere layers, apply a coat of glossy accents to the coffee layer and the coffee beans. Add a cream layer to the box front cut at 1” x 3 ¾ “ and stamp with greeting wrap double box with ribbon and tie a knot. Adhere button, and add faux stitching.

Hello! Kristen Swain here with a quick last minute gift for the Dad in your life.
Now, in our family we don’t celebrate with big gifts on Mother’s or Father’s Day. Small gifts are just fine – even better if they are a fun or thoughtful gift – something that has some meaning to them. I bought these Honey Roasted Peanuts for my youngest daughter, Annalise, to give to her daddy. She and my hubby both enjoy Monster trucks and they both love these nuts. It’s one of those things that they bond over, so I thought these would be a great gift.
This set can be put together in just about an hour, making it a great last minute set!
I searched through my cartridges and found this great Father’s Day Cartridge that had the perfect images on it. For the card I cut a piece of this great silver metallic mirror paper and ran it through my Cuttlebug Machine using the Diamond Plate Embossing Folder. Then I tore strips of kraft and brown cardstock and layered them on the bottom part of the card.
Next I cut my Happy Father’s Day title. One of the great things about these cuts are that you can layer behind them. I layered a strip of blue cardstock behind the word Father’s, then attached the shadow cut with patterned paper.
I did the same thing on the truck, adding gray cardstock to the tires, and silver cardstock to the windshield and front grill on the truck. When I layered the truck on my card, I stuck the tires behind the torn kraft cardstock to make it look like it was sitting in the dirt. I also added a little bit of foam tape just to the top of the truck, so that it has dimension but still sits in the dirt.
For the jar, I added a large strip of blue paper to cover the sticker label, then I added a smaller plaid strip over that middle of that blue paper. When I went to place my title, it was flat, so I used my hands and gently pulled and bent the paper a little, while going through my fingers ( you could also use the edge of a table and gently curve the paper that way. This helped me to adhere the title to the jar better and it doesn’t stick out on the sides. Just be careful not to crease your paper. I also did this with my small monster truck.
For the lid, I ran more of the mirror paper through the Cuttlebug Machine using the Diamond Plate Embossing Folder, and then simply cut a circle using my lid for the sizing ( I just traced the lid and cut it out) and a thin strip for around the sides. Put together they cover the lid beautifully!
For the finishing touches I added matching buttons to the card and the jar, tied with a bit of twine.

Happy Trails
Hello, everyone! Ginger Williams here wishing you a Happy Spring! Well, at least it is Spring here in Texas and hopefully for many of you as well! Thanks to the warm weather down here my family has already been camping this year–and we had a great time! Our little camping trip got me thinking of all the fun projects on the Campin’ Critters Cartridge and for today’s post I’m going to show you a little gift idea I worked out with some of the images from this cartridge.
I started with this awesome 3D tent cut as it has always been a favorite of mine! It is super cute and as an additional plus it is a box that can be filled with treats. I think I will fill mine with some yummy homemade trail mix and give it away on Father’s Day!
I used this sign as my sentiment and added some trees as a background.
This little rabbit in his sleeping bag seemed like the perfect addition to the tent and sign so he gets parked outside the tent. When it is time to give this set away I have a little plastic platter from the dollar store that everything will be anchored too (the tent full of treats should be heavy enough on it’s own) and then I’ll be ready to give them away!
