Hi everyone! Roree here. With Valentine’s Day just a day away, I thought I would share a fun, little card that combines two loves in my life, my hubby and coffee.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge Starbucks junkie. It is pretty evident when I can pull up to the drive through at Starbucks, and the voice on the other end says “Do you want your usual today, Roree?” My husband tolerates my “addiction”, so I thought he would appreciate a coffee-themed Valentine from me.
Instead of creating just a card, I cut out the coffee shape from striped patterned paper and created a pocket for the card. To do this, I cut out a 6 x 8” ledger patterned paper panel and I set the card in the center so that the bottom of the lid lined up to the top of the panel. I marked the panel 1/8” around the side and bottom edges of the card. I scored and folded the panel along those lines. I trimmed off the bottom corners of the panel, and then I folded and adhered the panel together to create a pocket. I added embellishments to finish.
Thanks so much for letting me share my project with you all today. I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day with the ones you love.
